We have designed the next three years to provide as many of the museum's benefits as possible while creating
a strong foundation that continues to build momentum leading to the successful opening
and longevity of the South Bay Children's Museum's permanent location.
Mini-Mobile

Launch Sept. 2007
This phase is designed
to expose the community to what a children's museum has to offer. The museum
sets up 1-3 interactive exhibits that are designed to be experienced and enjoyed for one day or
less. The Mini-Mobile travels to community festivals and is also available for
hire for private celebrations such as birthday parties.
Mobile

The objective of this
phase is to demonstrate the feasibility of a children's museum in the South Bay.
The Mobile museum will expand its offerings by displaying more complex exhibits
designed to be set up on a semi-permanent basis. During this phase, the museum
will set up in various community venues such as school auditoriums, community
centers, libraries, and unoccupied retail space for one or more weeks at a time.

Once located in a
permanent facility, the museum will operate full scale exhibits and ongoing
programs. The Mini-Mobile and Mobile units of the museum will continue to
operate for community outreach purposes.
