Our Audiences
The
South Bay Children’s Museum is proud to establish a community hub that provides
an avenue for a variety of audiences to interact and connect with one another in
a positive and mutually beneficial way.
Pre-K to 6th grade:
Museum exhibits are designed especially
for this age group. After-school programs designed for this audience will
highlight exhibit learning concepts.
Middle School/High School:
After-school and evening programs will
be tailored specifically for this age-group. The museum will serve as a resource
for science fair activities and will involve students as designers and builders
of new museum exhibits. Students will also have the opportunity to develop
leadership skills by becoming Junior Docents and volunteers in the museum.
College/University:
The
museum will offer volunteer and internship opportunities for college and
university students.
Parents/Caregivers/Retirees:
Kidz Kardz learning extensions provide
families with ideas for at-home activities that allow them to connect with each
other and the concepts explored in the museum exhibits. The museum also welcomes
family volunteers.
Educators:
Teacher Toolkits that include lesson
plans and resource guides are available for local area educators who wish to
create a “Museum in the Classroom” experience for their students.
